The European Union might “respond swiftly and decisively” in response to what it deems “unwarranted” visa bans imposed by the US on five European individuals involved in combating digital hatred and disinformation, an EU official stated.
EU Officials Decry US Move as ‘Intimidation’
European leaders including Emmanuel Macron accused the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, after the travel bans were placed on individuals that were central to efforts to enact legislation regulating US-based technology firms.
